In Honor of Disabled Officers
| I've
had many requests & questions as to the lack of the subject matter
of Disabled Officers on my web site. With much desire, forethought and
cooperation of Disabled Officers I have created this web page for them.
The Disabled Officer is all too often the forgotten one. They are being left behind yet they live on. They deal with the struggles of their disability. Worrying about how to pay for medical expenses, college tuition, mortgages, putting food on the table. The Disabled Officer who used to be among his peers, may suddenly be left alone. Left out of the loop of his profession. He is forgotten. If you or someone you know is a Disabled Officer I would like you to take the time to use this forum to share with others. Please send me a picture or two, perhaps the patrol car that was involved or a picture of your injury. You did NOT have to be on duty at the time you became disabled. My only requirement is the knowledge that you are not currently on the job because of it. Also please send me in your own words the events that caused your disability, the results of your disability and how you are dealing with your disability. Because this forum is a way to connect Disabled Officers with others your e-mail address, name of the City, State and Department you worked for would be appreciated, if you don't want particular info added, don't send it.. NO REAL NAMES WILL BE PUBLISHED ON THIS WEB SITE. Please send what you would like to share in an email to me at: Paula@Copadorer.com Also when sending email please add to the subject line: DISABLED OFFICER. Below you will see an example of how this web page will be viewed. Thank you for all you have done on and off the job. For your good heart. For your willingness to share with fellow Disabled Officers the road that you are on. Your inspirations are needed. God Speed. Here on this web site and in my heart you will never be.....The Forgotten One. Love, |
