LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS
How fast and far the arm of the law reaches
into life-threatening duty it goes.
With dedication it ventures forth
to vanquish all evil foes.
To wear the badge that deserves respect
upon its strong and ever broad chest,
takes courage, sacrifice and love of the job,
to become one of America's best.
In Blue or Gray or whatever the color
the heart is still the same.
For the uniform is meant to distinguish
the department from which it came.
To Serve and Protect, is the motto!
One taken seriously for sure.
The long-arm of the law stands proudly by it,
so all that is good will endure.
It comes on bikes and even horses,
but mostly it rides in cars.
Step across the line and do any wrong
your new home will be behind bars.
This honor extends to the lady officers
who also put their lives on the line.
Mothers, sisters and wives with badges,
beats a heart courageous and divine.
Thank you, to all Law Officers
it's a comfort to know you're there.
That you serve and protect the people
brings a solace beyond compare.
